For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. Luke 12:34

Glory to Jesus in the highest.

Treasures are dare to us.
Since when are small we have guarded our treasures jealously.

The new Christmas dress, the new shoes, the small money they gave us when the visitors come around, prices won in school or competitions, new toys, new story books and many more.

Can you remember how you jealousy watch over yours? How you keep them in special places in the house and you will go often to check it out. I think some even hold them tight and sleep with them and mummy will come in the night to remove them from your side when you have slept off. That is the power of treasures!

What has actually changed?
Nothing really!
It’s just that we have them in bigger sizes our needs, taste, affections, desires has grown more than those little things.

Now we pursue them, we hunt for them, dig for them, cry and long to have them, even pray for them, some go to the extreme to do anything to get them.
From money, to fame, to power to material things of life. Some do not rest day and night looking for what will fade and rotten.

Beloved what kind of treasure are you looking for? Temporary or Eternal? Earthly or Heavenly? Fake or Real treasures.

Many will not admit to the fact that they are pursuing shadows.
Many will not admit to the fact that they are gathering dust. Storing up vanities and building on sand.

Christ Alone is the greatest treasure that fades not.
The word of God alone is that which does not grow old.
The kingdom of God is the greatest possession of a man.

The call to wisdom is to pursue the right treasure and the heart will follow. The heart follows where it’s affection leads it. Don’t let the affections of this world lead your heart to vanities.

Seek eternal treasures that last forever. Treasures that gold and money cannot buy. Treasures laid up in Heaven above.

Judas pursued silver at the expense of eternal treasure. Ananias and Saphira pursued money at the expense of eternal treasure. What are we pursuing today?

For where your treasure is that is where your heart will be also.

The Lord mentioned treasure as one.
He did not say treasures and I wonder why.
Then it dawned on me that there can only be one heart and You can only love one person per time. That one heart is for the Lord. That only Treasure is Jesus.

Do you love Jesus? Is he your heart throb?
Is He your singular treasure? Not by words of mouth but with all your heart and soul?

It’s time to begin the true “Treasure Hunt”
Jesus the Hope of Glory and all that comes with Him.

Today!

Start laying UP!
Start looking UP!
Start the worthy investment!

We win

Shallom!
